End User License Agreement

This license agreement is a legal agreement between the end user (as an individual), hereinafter referred to as the User and Ursa Minor Ltd., hereinafter referred to as Ursa Minor. The software and any of its supporting documentation are hereinafter referred to as the Product. By installing or using the Product, the User indicates their complete and unconditional acceptance of this License Agreement, hereinafter referred to as the Agreement. Should there be any conflict between the terms and conditions of this Agreement and the terms and conditions of any other agreement between the User and Ursa Minor in relation to the Product, the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall apply. Information contained in the Product is subject to change without notice and does not represent a commitment or contracted obligation on the part of Ursa Minor. The User agrees to use the service in accordance with the Agreement. Ursa Minor may amend or modify the Agreement at any time.

Free Products

Ursa Minor provides the following Products free of charge for home users: CopyTrans Viewer.

Evaluation License Agreement

As part of its service, Ursa Minor agrees to provide trial versions of its paid Products, namely CopyTrans Studio. Ursa Minor agrees to provide this service free of charge.

Technical Assistance

All the Products are 100% success guaranteed. Ursa Minor provides Users that purchased a license with technical support by email within 24 hours. If in spite of the support team’s assistance, one of the Products fails to fulfill its purpose, Ursa Minor will refund you within 30 days of purchase, in compliance with the company’s Refund Policy.

Limitations of Liability

Having paid for the Product does not include any consideration for assumption of risk by Ursa Minor, and Ursa Minor disclaims any and all liability for incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or operation of or inability to use the Product, even if Ursa Minor has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Furthermore, the User indemnifies and agrees to hold Ursa Minor harmless from such claims.

Copyright Notices

The Product is the property of Ursa Minor. All rights for the Product belong to Ursa Minor. These rights are not transferred as part of this Agreement. CopyTrans® is a registered trademark of Ursa Minor. All other trademarks referenced herein or in the Product are the property of their respective owners.

Limitations of Use

The User may not transfer, rent, copy or use the Product in any way, in whole or in part, except for personal use. The User may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software or modify or reproduce the program documentation.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Ursa Minor Ltd trading as CopyTrans uses any personal information collected when users interact with the CopyTrans website and software.

What information do we collect about you when you browse the website?

We collect information about the way you browse our website through Google Analytics. The collected information includes your device, location, language, browser, and what pages you visited on our website. When you make a purchase on our website, we collect basic information required to create your invoice and activation codes: name, full address, and email.

What information do we collect about you when you use the software?

By default, the software will send anonymized error logs to our servers when a technical problem occurs. We collect those logs to resolve technical issues in a timely manner. You can disable this feature in the application settings. If you activate the software, we collect basic information about your PC: PC name, IP address, date, and time. While using the trial version of the program, you may be asked to submit your email address to be given extra trial time.

Why do we collect this information?

We collect information about you to provide customer support, set up your account with us, and resolve technical issues. We may also contact you directly to follow up on the service and user experience we provide. We make sure that we do not collect any personal data from you that we do not need.

How long do we store your information?

If we provide any paid services to you, we are required by tax laws to keep your invoice and basic personal information (name and address) for a minimum of 7 years. After that, we still keep the data in order to identify you and provide activation codes. You can request to be removed from our records, losing the technical possibility to activate the program as a result.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any personal data with other parties.

Accessing your information

You have a right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you have any questions about our privacy policy or would like to request a copy of all your personal information we keep, please email us at hello@copytrans.studio.

Marketing

We occasionally send promotional offers about new products and special offers that may be of interest to you. If you don’t want to receive any emails, you may unsubscribe at any time.

Other services used on the website

Once in a while, we may send marketing emails through ActiveCampaign. We use Mixpanel to anonymously track behaviour on our website and applications.
